On this beautiful and privileged farm it is possible to achieve direct contact with the numerous animals kept there (cows, pigs, chickens, rabbits, goats etc.) and not least with the main reason for its existence – horses. Here you can receive riding lessons and instruction for beginners to experienced riders. Take one of the many trails in the area, accompanied by a well qualified instructor and throughout it all, simply enjoy the natural scenery and the opportunity to ‘co-exist’ with nature and all she has to offer. Ecological Farm "Huerta Capuchina"

This farm specialises in ecological/organic agriculture and farming techniques and the sale of natural products. It also encompasses a learning centre where visitors can take part in numerous activities such as educational lectures and talks, workshops (including - recycling, botany and the natural use of plants and helping the environment) and tasting of organic products etc.

A place to enjoy raw nature at its best (with a few home comforts to make the day enjoyable!). The natural environment including walks, treks, bicycle trails etc have been ‘tamed’ and dotted amongst the hills and forest visitors can  take advantage of the numerous picnic sites, BBQ facilities, sporting facilities, summer swimming pool, games areas and bar / restaurant etc in order pass a ‘free’ day in the open air and countryside.

Approximately 20 minutes drive from Berja Town Centre can be found the 2km of unspoilt beaches of this traditional fishing village. It is a great place where a multitude of water sports can be practiced, or just to relax and pass a day on the beach at any time of the year, thanks to the warm year round climate.

The honey factory, saddlery and the weaving looms famous in this Alpujarra district are to name but a few.

 Added to these numerous activities it is important not to forget that Berja offers abundant gastronomic delights, reflected amongst the numerous bars and restaurants within the area – at the last count there were almost 30 to choose from.
