Tourist Packages
With all that Berja has to offer; history, culture, gastronomic delights, traditional and modern accommodation and local activities to name but a few, it is not surprising that the area is enjoyed by thousands of visitors each year, both national and international. To expand this, tour packages can be arranged. Based on small to medium groups the package can be tailor-made to suit the individual groups’ needs and wishes.
An example of a weekend package follows:
Saturday
10am: Leisurely breakfast in the hotel followed by short walk to the ‘Plaza de la Constitución’ where you will meet your guide for a tour of the historic centre of the town.
12pm: Visit to the Ecological Farm ‘Huerta Capuchina’ where you will be given an informative talk on the workings of the farm and an opportunity to taste many of their ecological products.
2pm: Lunch in the restaurant ‘Las Tinajas’ where it is possible to enjoy fabulous cuisine in a traditional setting in the Alpujarras.
6pm: Leave for the equestrian centre ‘Cortijo Colorado’ where you will have the opportunity to take a leisurely trek on horseback throughout the magnificent countryside and later enjoy the ‘company’ of many of the animals living there.
8pm: Arrival back at hotel, rest before dinner and evening entertainment of your choice.
Sunday
10am: Leisurely breakfast in the hotel before leaving for the ‘Castala Natural Park’ where again you will be met by a guide who will take you on an easy tour of the area. For those of more adventurous tendencies, a more challenging route can be arranged.
2pm: Lunch in the open air of the park in one of the many secluded picnic areas and BBQ facilities nestled amongst the trees.
4.30pm: Return to the hotel
Prices of the packages will vary dependant on the number of people in each group and the actual activities that they wish to undertake. In order for them to be arranged without problem, at least one weeks notice is required, two weeks in the peak summer months when demand is higher.
