 | Situated on the southwestern coast of the province of Almería., in the municipality of Adra, between Punta del Río and the beach of Balanegra. Although the main attraction are the lagoons flanked by couch grass, sedge plants and wicker, the look of the area has been partly transformed by the presence of large fields of plastic greenhouses and is popular known as the "sea of plastic".
As for fauna, water species living in the numerous swamps which make up the various lagoons (Albufera Honda, Albufera Nueva) represent the richest variety in the area.
