 | Situated in the extreme south west of the province between the municipalities of El Ejidoand Roquetas de Mar, it forms a kilometre wide strip between the coastline and the foothills of the Alcores. The landscape is notable for the line of fixed dunes dotted with a series of marshy lagoons which run parallel to the beach. Around the lighthouse of one of these coastal areas, Punta Entinas, is a place of great beauty, ideal for photography and underwater archaelogy. The importance of this area lies in the coexistence of welldifferentiated habitats which are shared by waterfowl and a rich community of vertebrates.
